This policy explains how personal data is collected, used, processed, and disclosed in connection with Services provision — including publications such as Sports Illustrated, The Players’ Tribune, 90min, FanSided, and MentalFloss.

How and with whom do we share your personal data?

1. Affiliates: Personal data shared with group companies for use purposes outlined in this Policy in connection with efficient business operations.

2. Service providers and vendors: Service providers assist with hosting, IT, customer support, email delivery, fulfillment, marketing, fraud detection, security, research, and analytics. Service providers access personal data for task performance under contractual privacy obligations. Payment processors receive data for payment completion, dispute processing, and refund processing.

3. Business and marketing partners: Personal data disclosed to third-party businesses for their purposes, including product/service marketing, relevant advertising, and enhanced Services integration. Sports Illustrated business data is shared with ABG-SI LLC (owner and licensor of the Sports Illustrated trademarks) acting as separate data controller per its privacy policy.

4. User profiles and submissions: User profile information including name, location, and uploaded video/image content for publication may be displayed to other users. Publicly uploaded content with personal data becomes publicly available for collection/use by others.

Professional advisors, legal enforcement, institutions, regulators: Personal data disclosed to professional advisors, government/law enforcement officials, and private parties for law enforcement and compliance — including in response to subpoenas, third-party rights protection, or public safety protection.

6. Mergers and acquisitions: Data shared if entering business transactions including merger, divestiture, acquisition, restructuring, reorganization, dissolution, bankruptcy, or sale/transfer of business assets. Transaction-acquiring parties may continue data use per Policy terms.

7. Activities: Activity registration/entry information disclosed to third-party service providers, participating sponsors, and advertising partners to facilitate the Activity. Activity entry may require name, voice, and likeness use in advertising per governing rules.

8. Others: Data disclosed if authorized or requested, including third-party interactions on Properties. Company is not responsible for information distribution consequences from user-chosen public disclosure through Services.

9. Aggregated information: Information anonymized, aggregated, or de-identified such that it cannot identify individuals. This Policy does not limit use or disclosure of anonymized, aggregated, or de-identified information.
What rights and choices do you have with respect to your personal data?

a. Email communication preferences: Users may opt out of promotional emails via “Unsubscribe” links at email bottoms or by emailing contactus@minutemedia.com (specify product name). Processing may take several days. Promotional opt-out does not prevent relationship, activity, transaction, or communication contact.

b. Push notifications: Users receiving device push notifications may opt out by adjusting device/browser permissions or uninstalling relevant apps.

c. Browser and device settings: Options depend on mobile device, operating system, or browser. Review respective device/system support materials and privacy settings. Cookie blocking may prevent certain content/feature access.

d. Targeted advertising: In jurisdictions including US states, UK, EEA, and Canada, users may opt out of targeted advertising through consent tools on Properties per Cookie Policy and the Supplements below.

e. Data “sales”: In applicable jurisdictions, users may opt out from personal data “sale” to third parties using designated tools (opt-out banners, cookie preference banners, Do-Not-Sell buttons) or by contacting the company. See US State Supplement and International Supplement for details.

Individual rights: Depending on residence country/US state, users may have rights including: personal data information requests and copies; certain personal data deletion; inaccurate personal data correction requests; personal data processing objection or restriction requests; personal data transfer requests to other organizations; consent withdrawal for consent-based processing. Response goal: 45 days (US residents), 30 days (UK/EEA residents). No discrimination occurs for rights exercise, though some functionality may change.
How do we protect your personal data?
Administrative, technical, and physical safeguards are implemented to prevent unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. While striving for confidentiality protection, absolute security cannot be guaranteed. Users must prevent unauthorized account access by appropriately protecting passwords and limiting account access. Users bear sole password confidentiality responsibility and all password/account use, including unauthorized use. Internet transmission involves inherent risks — while Services protection is attempted, personal data transmission security cannot be ensured or warranted, and users assume transmission risks.
Third-party links
Properties may contain third-party platform/plug-in/application links. Company does not control such sites/applications and is not responsible for their content, privacy policies, or information use. Public/semi-public venue information, including third-party social networking platform sharing, may be viewable by Property users and those platform users without use limitation. Third-party link inclusion does not imply content endorsement. Company expressly disclaims third-party action liability, including personal data use/disclosure actions.
How long do we retain your data?
Personal data retained as long as necessary for Services provision and legal obligation compliance, dispute resolution, and policy enforcement. Retention periods determined case-by-case based on collected information type and collection purpose, considering applicable requirements and the need to destroy outdated or unused information. EEA, UK, Canada, and Brazil residents should reference the International Supplement (Annex B) for additional details.
US State Supplement

International Supplement (UK, EEA, Brazil, and Canada)
Some countries, including UK, EEA countries, Brazil, and Canada, require additional privacy information and rights notification. What is our policy toward children?
Services are adult-directed and not intended for children under 18 years of age.
Updates to this Policy
Policy is subject to change at company discretion. Most current versions always post on Properties (reflected in the “Last Updated” heading). Regular update checks are advised. Changes take effect upon revised Policy posting. Material changes trigger required notices per applicable law and/or consent requests. Continued Services use after posting constitutes consent to all changes unless applicable law requires alternative notice or consent.
Controlling Version
This Policy is drafted in English as the original, controlling version. Translations into other languages serve convenience only and do not control Policy meaning or application. Translated version discrepancies result in the English version prevailing.

Company does not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes other than CCPA regulation Section 7027(m) specification. Company does not knowingly sell or share the personal information of minors under 16.
How to Exercise Your Rights
Exercise rights by emailing dpo@minutemedia.com. For “selling”, “sharing”, or targeted advertising opt-out, use the consent management tool on Properties homepages or the “Manage Preferences” footer link. Depending on location, GPC signal receipt from devices is treated as a valid opt-out sharing request with advertisers.
For certain rights, fraud prevention and identity verification require email address provision with requests. Authorized agents may submit requests on behalf of users — signed written permission or a valid power of attorney may be required. Request denial allows appeal via contactus@minutemedia.com (include “Appeal” in subject line).
